![]() HANSLOVAN THROWS PROVISIONAL QUALIFYING MARK IN JAVELIN CALIFORNIA - An NCAA provisional qualifying javelin throw by Kim Hanslovan as well as PSAC qualifying performances by Molly Smathers and Alexis Carter highlighted the outdoor season-opening Cal U. Early Bird for the Clarion University women's track and field team. Hanslovan threw the javelin 42.87 meters (140-7 feet), the fourth-best mark in the country going into the weekend. The throw was just 5-feet-1-inch off Julie Evenoski's school-record throw in 2003 and was good for first place at the meet.
