(Clarion, Pa.): Clarion University Athletic Director Dave Katis announced today that Johnny Angel and the Halos will appear at Clarion University's Gemmell Center Multi-Purpose Room on Saturday, June 13th.
The concert will start at 7pm with the proceeds benefitting the Clarion University Athletic Department. Doors will open at 6pm. Tickets are $20 per person and are already on sale at Michelle's Café and Dan Estadt's Sports Shop in downtown Clarion, and also available at the Clarion University Ticket Office in the Gemmell Student Center, on line at https://www.clarionstore.com/tickets.php, or by calling the ticket office at 814-393-2423.
Sponsoring the event are Wendy's of Clarion, RRR Roadhouse at the Clarion Mall and the University Activities Board at Clarion University.
"We had a great response to the concert last year and our feedback said those attending wanted a closer setting," said Katis. "So we're going to use the Gemmell Multi-Purpose Room which can hold 500 people, and we will have a dance floor for those who want to dance to the music as well. For people wanting a great night out and a complete oldies show band, Johnny Angel and the Halos are that band."
Ten singer/musicians and three technicians compile the "Halo Family". And if you like the "oldies", Johnny Angel and the Halo's is the band you want to see. They perform music of the 50's, 60's and 70's and have performed with such legendary soul greats as "The Temptations", "Four Tops", Supremes, Delfonics, Little Anthony and the Imperials and more; rock and roll greats Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Beach Boys, Chubby Checker, Vogues and much more, and Doo Wap stars Drifters, Marcels, Cleftones, Jimmy Beaumont and he Skyliners, Three Dog Night, and much more.
CLARION NOTES: There is only going to be one show ... Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis... The Gemmell Center is air-conditioned.
