FAMILY PASS ON SALE

PASSES COST $50

(CLARION, PA.): For the eighth straight year Clarion University will put an "All Sports" (Family Pass) Season Pass on sale aimed at increasing attendance at Clarion University's football, wrestling and basketball games, while giving area families an opportunity to get a big price break by purchasing the pass.

The $50 "Family Pass" is on sale at Dan Estadt's Sports Shop and the The Bathtub and The Kitchen Sink on Main Street in Clarion, and at the AD's Office located at Room 111 Tippin Gymnasium.

Clarion currently charges admission for football, wrestling and basketball games. For a typical family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children), admission to all of Clarion's events this season would cost $450, including 6 home football games, 6 wrestling matches and 18 basketball games. With the All Sports Season Pass only costing $50, that family would save $400 over the course of one athletic year.

"We hope a lot of Clarion fans in the community take advantage of the "Family Pass" ticket," said Clarion A.D. Dave Katis. "This is a great way for our fans to come out and cheer on the Golden Eagles, have a great family experience and also save some money," said Clarion A.D. Dave Katis. "We want to reach out to the community and this is one way we can accomplish that."

Clarion is also starting its eighth season on its "Sprinturf" playing surface and "Night Football" at Memorial Stadium, which has been a big success since debuting in 2003. The Golden Eagle football team has 6 home games scheduled in 2010 and will kickoff its home season on Thursday, September 2 against Fairmont State at 6pm. Other home games include September 18 at 6pm against Shippensburg, September 25 vs California at 6pm, the annual Homecoming Day game on October 2 against Slippery Rock at 2pm, October 23 versus Edinboro at 1pm and November 13 against Millersville at 1pm.
