ALLIANCE, Ohio –
Ciara Shorts and
Sarah Loughner each turned in first-place finishes to lead the Clarion University women's indoor track and field team at the Mount Union College Jim Waske Invite Saturday.
Shorts won the Mile in a time of 5:20.31, while Loughner was tops in the high jump with a leap of 5-foot-1-inch.
Shorts was also fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:25.75.
Alexis Carter also had a pair of top three finishes taking second in the 400-meter dash (1:00.89) and third in the 200-meter dash (26.88).
Also with a second-place finish for Clarion was Milea Schall in the 5,000-meter run (19:04.91), while
Jessica Vitous was third in the long jump with a leap of 16-1 ¾. Vitous also took fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.91), while
Allyson Cress was fourth in the shot put (39-8).
In the 3,000-meter run,
Megan Toddy was seventh (11:13.82) and
Kellie Wyatt was eighth (11:26.73).
