ERIE, Pa. – Clarion University senior
Ken Morgan has been named a second-team Daktronics Baseball All-Atlantic Region catcher in voting by the region's sports information directors.
Morgan, who was the first-team PSAC West catcher, was second on the team and is ninth in the PSAC in batting average (.364) and had an on-base plus slugging (OPS) of .950. He tied for second on the team in RBIs (25), doubles (12) and home runs (3) while also finishing second in hits (44).
A .301 career hitter, Morgan finished his career tied with Cary Grubb for the third-most home runs in a career at Clarion (13) while recording the fifth-most doubles and seventh-most total bases (177) since 1979. His .497 career slugging percentage also ranks eighth at Clarion since 1979, and his 123 games played are the ninth most ever by a Golden Eagle.
