CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion football team announced today that eight more players committed to join the program in the Fall of 2016. That brings the total number of players committed to the Golden Eagles this fall to 28.
This most recent batch of commits follows the recent pattern set by the coaching staff in that it includes a healthy dose of Pennsylvania products – five of the eight hail from the Keystone State – while also adding two more Virginians and another Maryland native. Of the 28 players brought in by Clarion this year, 12 of them hail from either Maryland or Virginia, as well as one New Jersey native.
"We're really excited that these young men have decided to further their academic and athletic careers at Clarion," said head coach
Chris Weibel. "They have the mixture of character and competitive nature we are looking to add to the program."
