Box Score INDIANA, Pa. - The Clarion University men's basketball team fell to IUP on the road Wednesday evening by a final score of 74-58. The loss moves the Golden Eagles to 7-20 on the season, including a 4-17 mark in the PSAC conference. The Blue and Gold return to action Saturday when they head to Edinboro for their final matchup of the 2016-17 campaign.
Cam Grumley led the Eagles offensively Wednesday, finishing with a team-high 22 points to go along with four assists and three rebounds.
Akeem Williams led the team in rebounds with seven while
BJ Andrews finished with 17 points and three boards. As a team, the Golden Eagles shot 38.5% from the field, including 3-13 from beyond the three-point arc.

Right from the opening jump ball, IUP's defense stifled the Golden Eagles, disrupting Clarion's normally deadly shooting attack. Although Grumley managed to splash a big three to stem the tide of the Crimson Hawk offense late in the first half, it was not enough. IUP would take a 38-17 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.
The second half would be frustratingly similar for the Eagles, as the Crimson Hawks dominated the rebound battle 34-31, and outscored Clarion in the paint 30-22. The Crimson Hawks also picked up 22 points off of Clarion turnovers.
