WALNUT, Calif. - Clarion University Ann Stinson (So., Shenango/New Castle) finished 11th at the NCAA Division II national meet in the javelin with a throw of 131 feet, 10 inches.

Stinson, who was the PSAC champion in the event, was the first Golden Eagle field athlete to qualify for the NCAA meet since Carrie Bullman threw the javelin in 2004, and her 11th place finish was the best for a Clarion field athlete since Julie Evenoski was eighth in the javelin in 2003. Bullman was also 11th in the javelin in 2003.

NOTES - Clarion's Erin Richard was the last Golden Eagle All-American taking home All-American honors in both the 5,000 and 10,000 last season ... Stinson was seeded 11th going into the meet, her first national meet.
