 BEVEVINO NAMED INTERIM TRACK/XC COACH CLARION - D.J. Bevevino, a highly successful high school track & field coach and former Clarion All-American diver, has returned to his alma mater as the interim head women's track & field/cross country coach. "We are very fortunate and excited to have someone with Coach Bevevino's experience and success taking over the program on an interim basis," Clarion athletic director Dave Katis said. "His 29 years of track expertise will be a benefit to our program." [+] CLARION PLACES 9TH AT REGIONALS MANSFIELD-- Freshman Ciara Shorts finished 26th helping Clarion to a 9th place finish at the NCAA Division II Regional Saturday at Mansfield. Shorts finished in a time of 22:41. Molly Smathers and Lisa Nickel finished 29th and 30th with identical times of 22:45. [+] SMATHERS EARNS ALL-PSAC HONORS HELPING CLARION TO 7TH AT PSAC'S EDINBORO - Behind an All-PSAC performance by Molly Smathers, the Clarion University women's cross country team took seventh at the PSAC Cross Country Championships Saturday at Edinboro with 204 points. Smathers, a senior, finished 15th in a time of 23:39.6 to earn her first All-PSAC honors. [+]
