![]() BERKES, ROSSI NAMED ALL-PSAC-WEST LOCK HAVEN - Clarion University utility player Scott Berkes was a first-team All-PSAC-West selection, while first baseman Matt Rossi is a second-team choice in voting by the league's coaches. Berkes, a freshman from Berwick, played both second base and third base for the Golden Eagles while also pitching in eight games with three starts. He hit a team-best .387 (36-93), which ranks eighth in the PSAC-West, with four doubles, seven RBIs and 12 runs scored. [+]![]() EAGLES SWEPT BY SRU SLIPPERY ROCK - Visiting Clarion was swept in a PSAC-West doubleheader at Slippery Rock's Critchfield Park Friday afternoon. The Golden Eagles lost Game One 8-3 and Game Two 15-6. In Game One, Slippery Rock (33-13, 14-8 PSAC-West) scored three runs in each of the first two innings to take a 6-2 lead after two and then tacked on solo runs in the fifth and sixth. Clarion (12-31, 6-16) got two in the second and one in the seventh.
