[+]![]() CLARION FALLS TO KEAN IN OPENER UNION, NJ - A valiant second-half comeback attempt came up short for the Clarion University men's basketball team, as the Golden Eagles dropped a 68-59 decision to Kean University in their season opener at the Kean Tournament Saturday night. Clarion trailed 40-28 at halftime and 47-28 with 17 minutes to play but closed within three points, 57-54, on a Mike Sherry basket with 4:08 left to play. The Golden Eagles then got the ball back down three but turned it over, and Kean went on a 9-2 run to seal the victory.
