CALIFORNIA CLARION - "Blizzard II - Return of the White Out" hits Tippin Gym Wednesday night when California comes to town to take on the Clarion Golden Eagles. [+]  WELL WORTH THE WAIT; EAGLES FASHION TIE FOR PSAC-WEST LEAD WITH WIN OVER NO. 6 IUP CLARION - The Clarion University men's basketball team had to wait an extra day for its first-place PSAC-West showdown with No. 6 IUP, but the wait was well worth it as the Golden Eagles claimed a 71-62 win over the highly touted Crimson Hawks before 1,100 on a White Out Day at Clarion's Tippin Gym. Clarion (15-6 overall, 7-1 PSAC-West), winners of seven straight, outscored IUP (18-2, 7-1) 17-8 in the final 6:03 of the game to break a 54-all tie and get the nine-point win over a Crimson Hawks squad that was also ranked first in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region. [+] BBALL DH NOW SUNDAY; WHITE OUT STILL ON (CLARION, PA.): Clarion Athletic Director Dave Katis announced Saturday morning that the Women's and Men's Basketball doubleheader, originally scheduled for Saturday night against IUP, has been postponed and moved to Sunday, February 7th. The Games will start at 1 and 3pm. The "White Out" is still on at Tippin Gym for Sunday afternoon. All Clarion fans are urged to wear something white to Tippin on Sunday to pack the gym and give the Golden Eagles a bigger home-court advantage. [+]
