JESSE KELLEY - Defensive Line

Jesse Kelley, 28, an energetic and knowledgeable coach, begins his third season at Clarion as the defensive line coach. He will also serve as the Golden Eagles strength and conditioning coach.

Kelley was a standout at Slippery Rock University as a linebacker and defensive end during his career from 2001-2004. As a senior he totaled 36 tackles including 6.5 tfl's and 4 quarterback sacks. In his career he posted 159 tackles, 19.5 tfl's and 7 sacks.

Following his football career, Kelley was a graduate assistant coach under George Mihalik at SRU in the Spring of 2005, then spent the Summer as an intern at Auburn University as a strength and conditioning coach. From the Fall of 2005 to the Spring of 2006 Kelley spent valuable time as a volunteer coach at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and as an intern at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

A PSAC Scholar Athlete, Jesse earned his B.S. Degree from Slippery Rock in the Fall of 2003 in Exercise Science and a Masters in Exercise Wellness and Promotion in 2006. He expects to finish his Masters Degree from SRU later this year. Jesse is a native of Fernandina Beach, Florida, and is a 1997 grad of Fernandina Beach High School.
