PRINGLE NAMED PSAC "FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR"
(Lock Haven, Pa.): Clarion freshman golfer Ross Pringle (Titusville) was named this week as the PSAC "Freshman of the Year" by a vote of the head coaches in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Pringle had a very strong year posting a scoring average of 75.01, and closed his season with his most impressive performance, a 10th place finish at the 2009 East/Atlantic Super Regional with a 54-hole score of 229. He placed 10th out of 106 golfers. The Super Regional was played at The Resort Course at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia and he shot rounds of 78, 74 and 77.

SCHMADER 45TH - FINAL ROUND 76 AT NATIONALS
(BLAINE, WASHINGTON): Clarion's Jared Schmader (So. Cooperstown/Maplewood) bounced back with a final round score of five-over par 76 on Friday at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships, placing him in 45th place overall with a final 72-hole score of 303.

Held at the Loomis Trail Golf Club in Blaine, Washington, Schmader shot his final round of 76 on the par 71 yard course that measures 6,995 yards. He opened the Division II Nationals with a three-over 74, then a one-under par 70, followed by a twelve-over 83 and finished with today's 76. A total of 106 golfers played in the event that included 20 teams and 5 individual qualifiers from the "Super Regionals".

SCHMADER SHOOTS 83 AT NCAA D-II NATIONALS
(BLAINE, WASHINGTON): Clarion's Jared Schmader (So. Cooperstown/Maplewood) had an off day on Thursday at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships, dropping to 41st place in medal play after carding an 83. He has a three-day total of 227.

Held at the Loomis Trail Golf Club in Blaine, Washington, Schmader shot his round of 83 on the par 71 course that measures 6,995 yards. He was tied for fourth entering today's round after posting a 74 on Tuesday and a one-under par 70 on Wednesday to open the nationals. The Division II Tournament is 72-holes and continues with team and individual champions crowned on Friday. There are a total of 106 golfers playing in the tournament, including 20 teams and other qualified individuals.
