(Hummelstown, Pa.): Clarion's Jared Schmader (Jr. Cooperstown/Maplewood) shot a 75, 76 - 151 and finished fourth today at the PSAC Team Championships held at the Hershey Golf Links in Hummelstown, Pa. He also earned All-PSAC honors. The Golden Eagles also finished fourth as a team with a score of 616, missing a tied for second place by one stroke. IUP won the title with a team score of 592, while California and Millersville tied for second with 615, Clarion fourth at 616, West Chester fifth at 630, Mercyhurst sixth with a 633 and Gannon seventh at 644. Joining Schmader on the All-PSAC team was Zach Schloemer (So. Waynesburg/Waynesburg Central) who finished 7th with a 73, 80 - 153. Also scoring for the Golden Eagles at the championship were Ross Pringle (So. Titusville) and Bill Stover (So. Apollo) who tied for 17th with totals of 156. Pringle shot 78, 78 and Stover had 76, 80. Finishing 30th was Kevin Smith (Jr. St. Marys) who had an 85, 81 - 166. IUP's Brad Boyle won medalist honors by defeating teammate Gavin Smith in a 1-hole playoff after tying for first place with a 143. Boyle birdied the first playoff hole. The PSAC Championship concludes the Fall golf season for the Golden Eagles under second year head coach Marty Rinker.
