Jared Schmader

Oct. 16, 2009

Clarion University's Women's and Men's Golf teams will be participating in the PSAC Golf Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the Hershey Golf Links located in Hummelstown, Pa.

Both teams have played some impressive golf in the Fall, 2009 season. The men will be led by Jared Schmader (Jr. Cooperstown/Maplewood) and Ross Pringle (So. Titusville).

Schmader has been on fire this Fall winning three individual events and three PSAC P.O.W. honors. His top round was a 5-under 66 at Cedarbrooke G.C. in winning the Cal Invite.

Pringle won the Robert Morris Invitational earlier this week with a 150 score, including a season best 2-under par 70.

Also playing this weekend for the Golden Eagles will be Mike DeAngelo (Sr. New Castle/Shenango), Sean Foust (Jr. Emlenton/A.C. Valley) and either Zach Schloemer (So. Waynesburg), Kevin Smith (Jr. St. Marys) or Bill Stover (So. Apollo).

The women are led by freshman Jenna Rinker (Slippery Rock) and graduate student Kim Dulski (Buffalo, N.Y.)

Rinker has been the PSAC Women's Player of the Week twice and has a season best round of 73 at the Baldwin Wallace Invite where she was medalist in her opening event with a 152.

Dulski meanwhile won the Clarion Invite with an 80, 39 - 119.

Also competing for the women this weekend will be Samantha Veights (So. Mt. Lebanon), Alyssa Gerhart (Fr. Meadville) and Jennifer Suffern (So. Carnegie).
