![]() CLARION WRESTLERS TOP EMU 21-12 (Clarion, Pa.): A special Veterans Night Crowd of 1,500 saw Clarion open its NCAA Division I Wrestling season tonight with a 21-12 win over Eastern Michigan. Clarion won 7 of the 10 bouts wrestled on Friday night at Waldo S. Tippin Gym, a night dedicated to the men and women in the Armed Forces of the USA, who were honored in pre-match ceremonies. [+]![]() WRESTLERS HOST EMU FRIDAY NIGHT Clarion University=s NCAA Division I Wrestling team is ready to roll out the mats on a new season featuring third year head coach Teague Moore and a young Golden Eagles squad. The Golden Eagles open their 2008-09 season on Friday, November 21st when Clarion hosts Eastern Michigan at Waldo S. Tippin Gymnasium. Match time for the "Veterans Day Special" is 7pm. All veterans and active military personnel will be admitted free. Kids will be admitted free with a hand colored 8 ½ X 11 American Flag presented at the door. [+]![]() CLARION WRESTLERS EXCITING IN BLUE-GOLD EXHIBITION CLARION, PA: Clarion third year head coach Teague Moore unveiled an exhibition blue-gold match on Friday night to give area wrestling fans a chance to see what the Golden Eagle lineup might look like in the coming season. Wrestlers had either 2 or 3 matches to wrestle and the several hundred fans that came out got to see some quality wrestling.
