Nov. 14, 2008 CLARION, PA: Clarion third year head coach Teague Moore unveiled an exhibition blue-gold match on Friday night to give area wrestling fans a chance to see what the Golden Eagle lineup might look like in the coming season. Wrestlers had either 2 or 3 matches to wrestle and the several hundred fans that came out got to see some quality wrestling. On the night Jay Ivanco (125), Zachary Oberlander (125), Cameron Moran (133), Greg Lewis (149), Nick LaFevre (149, Hadley Harrison (157), Dominic Ross (165), Mario Morelli (174), Clint Podish (184) and Roman Husam (Hwt) all were 2-0 on the evening. The feature match of Hadley Harrison against Travis Uncapher at 157-pounds saw Harrison defeat Uncapher 6-1. Harrison qualified for D-I nationals last year and Uncapher had a stellar freshman season in 2008. The surprise of the night was at 184 where freshman Clint Podish defeated likely starter at 197 Jamie Luckett 3-1, and also defeated last year's starter at 184 Scott Joseph by a 6-1 margin. Of local interest, Cameron Moran, a red-shirt freshman from Kane, was 2-0, as was DuBois Area's Mario Morelli. Clarion will open its 2008-2009 season when the Golden Eagles host Eastern Michigan next Friday night (Nov. 21) at 7pm at Tippin Gymnasium. BLUE-GOLD RESULTS (Exhibition) 125- Jay Ivanco dec.
