LOCK HAVEN - Clarion University sophomore Janelle Zabresky was named the PSAC-West Women's Basketball Player of the Week Tuesday. Zabresky (Dallas/Bishop O'Reilly) recorded her first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds in the Golden Eagles 76-57 win over Point Park Nov. 20. She shot 7 of 12 from the field while adding four blocked shots, five steals and an assist. On the season, Zabresky is averaging 11.7 ppg and 8.7 rpg while helping Clarion to a 3-0 start heading into Tuesday night's contest at Findlay. GOLDEN EAGLE NOTES - Zabresky is in her third season at Clarion having sat out two years ago ... The award is Clarion's first in-season award this year, and Zabresky is Clarion's first Player of the Week since Katrina Greer earned the award Jan. 15. |
