(LOCK HAVEN, PA.) Clarion freshman golfer Jenna Rinker (Slippery Rock) earned her second PSAC Women's Golfer of the Week" Award today as a result of her winning performance at the Gannon Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. Rinker won the Gannon Invitational held at Lake Shore Country Club in Erie, by shooting an 80 on Saturday, and came back with a 77 on Sunday for a total of 157. She won by four shots over Evann Parker of Mercyhurst. In the opening event of her college career she also won Baldwin Wallace Invitational Tournament firing rounds of one over 73 and then a 79 for a total of 152. "Jenna continues to play great golf and is well deserving of this honor," said Clarion second year golf coach Marie Gritzer. "To perform at this level as a freshman in college competition is an impressive accomplishment." Rinker is a Business major at Clarion and is the daughter of Marty and Joanie Rinker of Slippery Rock. Marty Rinker is also the men's golf coach at Clarion University. |
