August 29, 2008 (Buckhannon, W.V.): Clarion's 2008 Women's Soccer team opened their new season on Friday at West Virginia Wesleyan College and lost by a score of 2-0. After a scoreless first half, West Virginia Wesleyan's Meghan Zayas scored at 47:51. The game was put away with a goal by Ashley Dragos at the 83:53 mark to make the final 2-0. Clarion had five shots during the contest, while WWC had 14. Clarion goalie Jenna Kulik made 5 saves. The Golden Eagles continue their road trip on Sunday when they travel to Alderson-Broaddus. |
