Sept. 23, 2008 CLARION- Clarion University Women's Soccer team slipped to 1-6-2 overall (0-4 PSAC-West) with a 4-1 loss to IUP. IUP's Allison Keller opened the scoring with a goal assisted by Paige Virgara at 25:54. Sarah Romasco scored at 41:18 assisted y Melina Lieb to make the score 2-0 going into halftime. Romasco would open the second half scoring assisted by Kim Kowalski at 49:52. Virgara would add a goal at 68:30 on an assist from Rosie Terak making the scor 4-0. Alyssa Jacobs would score for the Golden Eagles assisted by Caitlin Borden at 87:22 setting the final at 4-1. Jenna Kulik was in net for Clarion making 11 stops in the game. The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday when they travel to Alleghany College. |
