Oct. 7, 2008 CLARION- Rachael Schmitz scored for the second consecutive game for Clarion University's Women's Soccer team as they fell to Slippery Rock 2-1 in a PSAC-West match-up. Schmitz put the Golden Eagles ahead early with an unassisted goal at the 3:18 mark. Slippery Rock would score two unanswered goals in the second half. The first would come from Alyssa Barrett at 51:54. The second from Linda Schirmeiseer at 88:08 assisted by Barrett. Jenna Kulik made nine saves in a losing effort. Clarion falls to 3-8-2 on the season (0-6 PSAC-West) and will be back in action Sunday when they host Mercyhurst. |
