 LEUSCHEL TOP TEN AWARD WINNER LOCK HAVEN - Clarion University senior tennis player Kassie Leuschel (St. Marys/Elk County Catholic) was named June 17 as a recipient of the 2009 PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Spring Academic Top Ten Award. Lauschel is one of only five female PSAC athletes and 10 PSAC athletes to earn the award, which is voted on by the league's Sports Information Directors recognizing student-athletes who distinguish themselves in the classroom as well in the arena of competition, during the spring competition season. [+] CLARION DEFEATS SETON HILL 9-0 (CLARION, PA.): Clarion's Women's Tennis Team closed its 2009 season on Friday evening with a 9-0 win over Seton Hill at the Campbell Courts. Clarion finished its 2008-09 season with an overall record of 10-7 and a 2-3 mark in the PSAC-West. [+] EAGLE NETTERS TOP SHIP 9-0 (NEW CASTLE, PA.): Clarion swept all nine matches on Wednesday to defeat Shippensburg 9-0 in a PSAC-West Women's Tennis matchup at the North Beaver Tennis Club in New Castle, Pa.
