(NEW CASTLE, PA.): Clarion swept all nine matches on Wednesday to defeat Shippensburg 9-0 in a PSAC-West Women's Tennis matchup at the North Beaver Tennis Club in New Castle, Pa. Clarion raised its overall record to 9-7 overall and 2-3 in the PSAC-West. At #1 singles Clarion's Jaclyn Metzger defeated Ali Horvath 6-0, 6-0, while Kassie Leuschel topped Jess Lodek 6-0, 6-0 at #2 and Sharayah Campbell defeated Robin Light 6-0, 6-0 at #3. At #4 singles Haylee Gardner defeated Hannah Lolly 6-0, 6-0, while at #5 Devin Rombach topped Monica Berardi 8-2 and Megan Parsons defeated Calli Weidler 8-1 at #6. In doubles action Metzger and Leuschel defeated Horvath and Weidler 8-0 at #1, with Campbell and Rombach topped Lodek and Berardi 8-0 at #2. The final doubles saw Gardner and Parsons defeat Light and Lolly 8-3. Clarion will host Seton Hill on Friday at 5:30pm in the final match of the year. Singles 1. Jaclyn Metzger (CL) def.
