(Bloomsburg): Clarion Women's Tennis player Kassie Leuschel was 1-1 over the weekend at the PSAC Individual Championships held at Bloomsburg.

Leuschel, unseeded, defeated Lindsay Knappenberger (Millersville) 6-1, 6-2 in straight sets to advance to the second round. Against #2 seed Kayla Blackburn (SR), Leuschel won the first set 6-3, but lost the second 6-0 and the third set tie breaker 10-3.

In other singles action Jaclyn Metzger lost to Kutztown's Sabrina Arnaud in the opening round. She won the first set 6-2, lost the second 6-1 and then lost the tie breaker 10-7.

In doubles action the team of Leuschel and Metzger lost 9-8 to Jamie Ferrigno and Katie D'Ambrosia of East Stroudsburg.

The Fall season is now concluded with the Golden Eagles posting a 4-1 dual meet record in the Fall. The Spring schedule will start February 27th during Spring Break at Hilton Head, S.C.
