Balanced Effort Leads Clarion Past Barton

CLARION - The Clarion University women's volleyball team used a balanced effort Friday night to defeat Barton (NC) 3-0.

The Golden Eagles won by scores of 30-17, 30-14 and 30-10 to improve to 23-4 on the season.

Sarah Fries led Clarion with 12 kills and 12 digs, while Christina Steiner had eight kills and 11 digs. Amanda Angermeier chipped in with 11 kills, Vikcy Gentile had 17 digs and Kristi Fiorillo 37 set assists.

Clarion returns to PSAC-West play Tuesday at IUP.
